Korean media: SemiFive 14nm AI SoC is expected to be put into production in the second half of this year

According to Korean media reports, SemiFive recently stated that the 14nm AI SoC designed using the SemiFive design platform will be put into production in the second half of the year.

SemiFive's chip design platform provides IP and architecture for customers to design chips, and last year worked with customers to complete the development of AI chips designed for data center and edge AI applications.

SemiFive works with Samsung Electronics Foundry to provide design and production on a turnkey basis. The production of 14nm chips is the first execution of this turnkey service.

A spokesman for SemiFive said the project was significant because it would allow the company to expand its turnkey services rather than perform separate contract works.
